About Seth

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to visit my site.  Here are a few things you should know about me:

1. I'm a third year Modern History and English Literature student from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

2. I am a university Ambassador (one of the guys that took you on an open-day tour), but I also work separately for the St. Andrews as part of their 'Schools Team'.  This involves my visiting schools around Scotland, talking to prospective students and their parents about studying at St. Andrews.

3. I will spend the early part of my summer this year working with the Sutton Trust, building on the experience I gained last summer during which I worked as part of St. Andrews 'First Chances' Summer School outreach program.

4. This last year I have worked as a key member of the 'Music is Love' subcommittee, booking bands, arranging gigs and setting up equipment.

5. When I'm not working for the university, studying or chasing booking agencies, I spend my time helping to coach the University of St. Andrews Touch Rugby team!

6. I play bass in student ceilidh sensation 'Superceilidhfragilistic' and guitar in future folk ensemble 'Young Farmers' Disco'.

7. I count myself lucky in the amount of experiences I've had; fitting children's shoes in Clarks; working as a builders' labourer; captaining a working mans rugby club in the North East of England, and grilling Gordon Brown on the future of traditional arts degrees to name just a few!
